Kelly played the part of the main character, Kayla, in a 2011 feature film (her debut) Sket, also starring Ashley Walters. The story of the British production was Kayla trying to find the man who killed her sister, along the way joining a gang who help her in her search. She was nominated for Best British Newcomer at the British Film Institute for her role.[1]She is most known for playing the role of Maddy Smith in CBBC's drama Wolfblood, (which she was also nominated for 'best performer' in 2013 at the Children's BAFTA's. However she lost to her fellow co-star, Bobby Lockwood, who plays Rhydian Morris in the series.) Kelly also auditioned for the role of Mini McGuinness in E4's teen drama seriesSkins. Though she was in the final two,[1] the role eventually went to Freya Mavor. Since, Kelly has also filmed an episode of Call the Midwife. It is said by Debbie Moon (the creator of Wolfblood, on her blog "Never Get off The Bus") that at the end of Series 2 she decided to leave Wolfblood to pursue other roles. Although on twitter, Kelly stated that she couldn't pursue Maddy because she was busy studying at University: "On the contrary of the speculations I'd like to say that finishing my year at university was the reason for not returning to WB season 3". And later she wrote: "It wasn't an easy decision but sometimes education comes first! Thank you so much to all of you that supported me along the way! Xx"
Before being an actress, Kelly was a waitress and shop assistant. Recently she finished studying at Leeds University.
